According to the January 2009 edition of the Lexpert magazine, Woods LLP actively participated in the two most significant legal disputes of 2008 in Canada. Indeed, Woods LLP successfully represented the numbered company, established in order to acquire BCE Inc., in its legal dispute against certain bondholders. Moreover, Woods LLP represented a myriad of companies amongst which Air Transat, The Jean Coutu Group, Domtar, Aéroports de Montréal, and Pomerleau in the dispute over the restructuring plan of the asset backed commercial papers.
