Woods is proud to announce that Mélissa Lewandowski and Emily Martin have chosen to pursue their careers at Woods. Each will gain advanced skills in dispute resolution by participating in high-profile cases with other members of our team.
Mélissa Lewandowski was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2021 and practiced in a boutique firm specializing in civil and commercial litigation, family law and class action. A graduate of the Université de Montréal, Mélissa has been involved at various levels in the academic or legal accompaniment of persons in difficulty respectively within the Mentoring Service of the Faculty of Law of the Université de Montréal, the National Student Pro Bono Network as well as a volunteer in a legal clinic. She also completed a summer program at the China University of Political Science and Law where she learned about the Chinese legal system.
Emily Martin completed her studies at the University of Ottawa, where she was involved in several extracurricular activities, including serving as vice-president of the University of Ottawa Constitutional Law Student Association and the Big Brother/Big Sister program. Prior to her admission to the Quebec Bar, she articled with a regional law firm in Quebec City where she had the opportunity to assist in the research and drafting of commercial litigation, insurance litigation and transportation law cases. She also acted as a guide-interpreter at the Supreme Court of Canada.
