Mtre. Sebastian L. Pyzik pleads regularly before the courts of first instance and the Court of Appeal of Quebec, as well as before arbitration tribunals. He is also a strategic advisor to many clients in litigious contexts.
Sebastian acts in complex cases in several fields, including in contractual disputes, real estate and construction disputes, shareholder disputes, professional liability cases, defamation and employment disputes law, the latter involving more particularly in cases involving the dismissal of senior executives. He also practices in sports law, notably in doping cases in front of the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada.
Sebastian has published feature articles on the duty of consistency and the implied duty of confidentiality in Quebec Law, as well as and is also involved in the Advocates’ Society. He is also a professor at the Quebec Bar School for the fall semester of fall 2019 and where he teaches the course law relating to Obligations.
Sebastian joined Woods after having worked for a national firm in Montreal and Toronto. He also completed a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). Sebastian holds a black belt in taekwondo and is a former Quebec and Canadian champion.
